“BIG” Updates for Growth Season!

As you may remember, we previously introduced our theme for April: “Season of Growth.” We’re continuing to roll out exciting updates in line with this theme, all aimed at enhancing your Reta Wars experience and empowering your journey through the world of Web3 strategy gaming.

In this announcement, we’ll be covering three major updates that are part of our ongoing “Season of Growth” plan: Elixirs to boost your Heroes’ potential, the new GRT Shop items, and the exclusive opportunity to mint NFT Heroes using RETA. This update announcement contains a lot of information, but none of it is trivial. Every piece of news is crucial to you, so please make sure to thoroughly understand everything and seize the fantastic opportunities that lie ahead!

In Reta Wars, achieving higher power through NFT level-ups is one of the crucial strategic choices. As you know, in POS-based Game-Fi systems, the reward pool is always limited and gradually decreases over time. To secure larger rewards by proving relative strength from this limited pool, increasing the power of your NFT is an essential strategy. However, it has been a challenging task up until now.

One reason many commanders find NFT level-ups difficult is the high risk involved in unpredictable outcomes. We agreed that this hurdle hinders the enjoyment of growth and have been researching ways to bring back the excitement of lost progression. And our focus has been on making the effort and expected value required for NFT level-ups more predictable and manageable.

Introducing the Elixir, a mystical potion that resonates with the souls of heroes to amplify their latent potential. This incredible item helps increase the level-up probability of your NFT heroes. When you have Elixirs in your possession, you can choose the number of Elixirs you want to use on the NFT hero level-up screen. Depending on the amount used, you will see an increase in level-up probability.

Up to level 7, you can boost the level-up probability to a maximum of 100% using Elixirs. And from level 7 ~ 9, you can increase it to a maximum of 70%. Once your hero reaches level 10, you can use Elixirs to raise the level-up probability up to 50%. Keep in mind that the amount of Elixirs needed to increase the level-up probability will grow with your NFT’s rarity and level, so higher levels may require a significant number of Elixirs.

Thanks to the introduction of Elixirs, level-ups are no longer exclusive to a select few top players. Now, a wider range of people can pursue their target levels with clearer expectations and strategies in place.

Elixirs are generally not tradable in the marketplace and can be acquired through BUSD. However, by actively playing the game, players can still obtain Elixirs. The in-game shop also allows for Elixir purchases using GRT, with a limited quantity of Elixirs available for purchase with GRT once a week.

We hold a deep respect for the commanders who have boldly pioneered the Reta Wars leaderboard with their daring challenges. We believe that the introduction of this new Elixirs system should not hinder the adventurous spirit of those who took action ahead of everyone else. As a result, we’ve decided to implement a retroactive measure, prioritizing commanders who have contributed to the ecosystem. Commanders who have leveled up their NFTs and contributed to the ecosystem will receive an airdrop of Elixirs. We have records of every commander’s NFT level-up successes and failures, and each commander will receive Elixirs based on their history.

In addition to Elixirs, there will be a few changes to Reta Wars’ leveling system to maintain balance. While Elixirs are an attractive feature and many commanders welcome this new item, it is important to avoid turning the ecosystem into an extreme winner-takes-all game. We have prepared a few measures to protect the premium of high-level commanders while not distancing them too far from new users:

Reta Wars’ “Square Market” now offers two exciting new items that you can purchase with GRT. The first one is a Box that provides a random Soulflower, while the second one is a Box that grants a random Junior Manual. Both of these items are available in limited quantities, but don’t worry! Once they’re all sold out, their stock will be replenished after a certain period.

And here’s the best part: Every GRT used to purchase these boxes will be 100% burned! So not only are you getting fantastic items, but you’re also contributing to the overall health of the ecosystem. In this update, only two items are being added to the GRT Shop. However, more attractive items will be added in the future. We aim to expand the use of GRT and offer appealing options for commanders while simultaneously increasing the active burning of GRT.

NFT Break-up is indeed a valuable burning system in our ecosystem, and we recognize the need to provide additional rewards to players who participate in this process. As a result, we are excited to announce that players who Break-up NFT heroes will now receive an additional bonus: 10 dolls!

These dolls will be given separately from the souls or soul flowers that players could typically obtain when Break-up NFTs. While the number of souls depends on the NFT’s grade and level, the number of dolls will always be fixed at 10. This means that when you Break-up a hero NFT, you’ll receive 10 hero dolls, and when you Break-up a junior NFT, you’ll receive 10 junior dolls. This will ultimately result in better value when you broke up your NFTs. Moreover, it creates an opportunity for you to find new and exciting connections in the aftermath of parting with your NFT, potentially leading to more remarkable and rewarding experiences.

For a limited time, you can now mint NFT Heroes by paying with RETA instead of BUSD. To access this option, simply head to the Hero Minting screen in the shop, click the swap icon, and you’ll see the option to pay with RETA. Please note that this is only applicable to Heroes, and Junior purchases will still require BUSD.
